Jake

The Lunar Hub Tutor.

Confidence builder, footie fan, chess whizz & bookworm!

An understanding, calm, compassionate & patient educator. When Jake isn’t teaching, you’ll usually find him watching football, getting lost in a good book, or getting competitive over a game of chess.

Fun fact: Jake has read over 100 books in the last two years, so there’s a very good chance he’ll have a book recommendation for you!

In the classroom: Jake brings over 7 years of teaching experience, including working as a Secondary School Teacher. He has even won teaching awards voted for by his students! He believes learning should be a place where young people can ask questions, make mistakes, have a laugh and try again. His priority is making sure every learner feels comfortable, confident and, most importantly, that their voice matters.

Jake’s goal? To make every lesson a place learners are genuinely happy to come back to.

Olivia

Class support and Creative Lead.

Creativity queen, well-being guru, adventure planner and your own personal cheerleader!

A thoughtful, empathetic, determined & passionate educator. You’ll usually find Olivia doing yoga, baking something new, planning her next sunny adventure, or spending time with family and friends.

Fun fact: Olivia lived in Australia for two years, and she’s a vegetarian!

Olivia has always loved working with children and young people. After working as a teaching assistant in a range of settings, she qualified as a teacher in 2022. These experiences have taught her to be flexible, creative and, most importantly, to listen. She believes learning is about building confidence and helping young people discover what they’re capable of. At The Lunar Hub, Olivia brings a fun, holistic approach where every young person feels seen, heard and supported.

Olivia’s goal? To make learning feel a little less like “I have to do this” and a lot more like “I actually can do this!”
